Stereo to mono conversion

Enabling stereo to mono conversion

• Open Forte Import and go to the Customize section in the settings.

• Locate the Stereo to Mono checkbox and enable it.

Configuring what gets converted

• Click the gear (cog) icon next to the stereo to mono option to access detailed settings.

• Choose which types of tracks you want Forte to convert:
  • Fake Stereo: Stereo files with mono content will be converted to mono.
  • Hard-Panned Stereo: Stereo files panned fully left or right will be converted to a single left or right channel.

Saving and applying settings

• After configuring your preferences, click Save to confirm your settings.

• From now on, whenever you import audio files, Forte will automatically detect and convert fake stereo and hard-panned tracks to mono, streamlining your mix preparation.
