How to manage sessions in Forte

Managing sessions in Forte helps you organize your projects efficiently. You can easily open an existing session or create a new one—all from one convenient menu.

1. At the top of the Forte interface, click Current session.
2. A dropdown menu appears with two options:
   • Open existing session
   • Create new session

Tip: Accessing session options from the top menu allows you to switch or start new sessions quickly.

Opening an existing session in Forte

1. Select Open existing session.
2. Forte will open your computer’s file browser (Finder on Mac or File Explorer on Windows).
3. Locate and select the session file you want to open.
4. Forte automatically closes your current session and loads the selected one.

Result: Your chosen session opens immediately, allowing you to continue working where you left off.

Creating a new session in Forte

1. From the same menu, select Create new session.
2. Follow the setup prompts to configure your new session.
3. Once complete, Forte opens your new session automatically.

Tip: Creating a new session is ideal when starting a fresh project or testing new ideas.
