Strip Silence - Overview

Enabling strip silence

• In Forte Import, click on Customize in the settings menu.

• Locate the Strip Silence checkbox and enable it.

Adjusting strip silence settings

• Click the cog (settings) icon next to the Strip Silence option.

• Here, you can adjust all strip silence parameters to suit your needs (such as threshold, minimum silence duration, and padding).

• The default settings are intentionally “loose,” ensuring you don’t accidentally cut any important audio.

• If you make changes and want to revert to the original settings, click Restore to Default.

Saving and applying the settings

• Once you’ve set your preferences, click Save to confirm.

• Now, when you import your tracks, Forte will automatically apply strip silence to each one at the end of the process.
