Strip Silence - Overview
Learn how to activate and configure the strip silence feature in Forte Import.
Enabling strip silence
In Forte Import, click on
Customize
in the settings menu.
Locate the
Strip Silence
checkbox and enable it.
Adjusting strip silence settings
Click the
cog (settings) icon
next to the Strip Silence option.
Here, you can adjust all strip silence parameters to suit your needs (such as threshold, minimum silence duration, and padding).
The default settings are intentionally “loose,” ensuring you don’t accidentally cut any important audio.
If you make changes and want to revert to the original settings, click
Restore to Default
.
Saving and applying the settings
Once you’ve set your preferences, click
Save
to confirm.
Now, when you import your tracks, Forte will automatically apply strip silence to each one at the end of the process.
