Print Parameters (Pro Tools)

Accessing print settings

  • Once you’ve set up your custom prints, click on “Print Selected” in Forte Export.
  • You’ll be taken to the print settings panel, where you can configure all export parameters before starting the bounce.

Choosing the base name and mix source

  • Set the base name for your exported files to keep them organized.
  • Select the mix source, which determines what you’re exporting:
    • Options include Mix Print, Master Print, Output, or a custom source.
    • For example, you can choose “Mix Print” to export your main mix, or another source for stems or alternate versions.

Selecting file type and bounce method

  • Choose the audio file format: WAV, AIFF, or others as available.
  • Decide on the bounce method:
    • Online (real-time bounce through your hardware chain)
    • Offline (faster, non-real-time bounce)
    • Automatic, where Forte manages the method for you depending on your setup.

Setting audio parameters

  • Select the desired bit depth (16, 24, or 32 bit).
  • Choose the sample rate that matches your project or delivery requirements.

Choosing export location

  • Decide where your bounced files will be saved.
  • Click to select your preferred destination folder (for example, “Bounced Files” or any custom location).

Starting the print

  • After all parameters are set, simply click “Print.”
  • Forte will export your selected prints with the chosen settings, saving them in your specified location.
